The dashcam is the first to use two Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 image sensors, which have a 2.5 times greater dynamic range and higher light sensitivity than STARVIS technology. This gives you top video quality day and night and less noise and motion blur while filming. The rear camera records in 2K resolution with the Sony STARVIS 2 image sensor. This sensor is 2.5 times larger than a STARVIS pixel of the same size, always ensuring clear and sharp recordings.

Thanks to Sony STARVIS 2 & STARVIS technology, the A229 Plus performs excellently in all kinds of light. The videos have a wider dynamic range and are more detailed. These industry-leading sensors, together with superior HDR technology, accurately correct 2K details recorded at night and even capture license plates flashing by.

The A229 Plus' smart voice control feature lets you start or stop recording, capture images, or turn Wi-Fi on or off with simple commands. The function also warns you of changed settings or problems with the memory card, so you can stay safe and concentrated behind the wheel.

Always alert and precise

As soon as the camera detects movement, recording starts. Thanks to a buffer function, images are stored from 15 seconds before to 30 seconds after the detected movement. The A229 Plus has a state-of-the-art Quad-Mode GPS module that supports GPS, BEIDOU, GALILEO and GLONASS. The positioning accuracy and stability are therefore excellent. The module shows detailed location, speed and time data when playing your videos, both via the VIOFO app and on your computer.

Loop recording and automatic emergency lock
