The VIOFO A229 Pro Tele 2CH is not just any dashcam, but a double view of the road. While the 4K wide-angle camera captures the big picture, the 2K telephoto lens zooms in four times optically on what is happening further ahead, from license plates to small details in traffic. Two Sony STARVIS 2 sensors and HDR image processing ensure crystal-clear recordings, even against the light or in the dark. Add fast 5 GHz wifi and voice control, and you get a dashcam that not only sees everything but also thinks along with you.
Double view of the road
The front camera films in True 4K with an 8 MP sensor and an aperture of f/1.8. The telephoto camera uses a 5 MP sensor with f/2.0 and a viewing angle of 35 degrees. With the four times optical zoom you enlarge distant details without quality loss. Together the two lenses provide a complete view of the road, from overview to close-up.
Sharp image, near and far
Both cameras use Sony STARVIS 2 sensors, the IMX678 at the front and the IMX675 for the telephoto lens. Thanks to the sensor sizes, the A229 Pro Tele 2CH captures more light and keeps noise to a minimum. HDR balances exposure differences, so license plates, signs and road markings remain sharp and readable, even against the light or in the dark. While a wide-angle mainly provides overview, the telephoto lens zooms in on what is happening further away. This way you capture overtaking maneuvers or vehicles at a distance in sharp detail, ideal if you are often on the road for work and want to be able to review every detail.
Smart and fast in use
The built-in 5 GHz wifi ensures lightning-fast transfer of footage. Videos can be viewed, downloaded or shared via the VIOFO app in seconds. For even faster updates, you can connect your smartphone directly via USB-C. The dashcam supports voice control in multiple languages, so you can record, take photos or turn off wifi with simple commands.
Always ready, even when parked
With an optional hardwire kit (HK4 or HK6), the A229 Pro Tele 2CH automatically switches to parking mode. You can choose from timelapse, low-bitrate or automatic event detection. Thanks to Super Night Vision, nighttime recordings remain clear and high contrast, ideal for parking damage or vandalism.
Smart features and expansions
The Quad-Mode GPS uses GPS, BeiDou, Galileo and GLONASS for accurate positioning. In the VIOFO app you can see speed, route and time, useful for insurance matters or fleet management. The A229 Pro Tele is 2CH also available as a 3CH version with an extra 1080p rear camera, which records front, rear and telephoto synchronously. Additionally, a CPL filter, G-sensor and optional bluetooth remote control provide extra safety and ease of use.
